Unclaimed Students allows SpotShield to be effectively deployed into a school.  Our Student Auto Enrolment process will attempt to identify the student’s user on their parent’s Family Zone account using their Student ID (network login username).  If it is unable to do so, then it will create an Unclaimed Student within your School Community Platform.  This will allow you to provide your duty of care on their primary learning device should they connect to that device to a Hotspot or non school WiFi network.

When does an unclaimed student get created?

An unclaimed student gets created when a student logs onto the school network and we are unable to link their student ID to a user in your School Community Platform via the Student Auto Enrolment process..

Why are unclaimed students put into the youngest year group?
